Smt. Meenakshi Negi, a distinguished officer of the 1989 batch of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), currently serves as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF) in Karnataka. She is the first woman to lead the state's forest department, marking a historic milestone.

Karnataka Cadre: Over her 35-year career, she has held key positions such as Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) in Ballari, Mandya, and Chikkamagalur, contributing significantly to wildlife conservation, social forestry, and territorial forest management.
