The Sinhasi Social Impact Initiative Conference 1, the visionary brainchild of Ms. Mimi Partha Sarathy, is an embodiment of purpose and innovation. This is a first-of-its-kind platform curated by a wealth management firm for social investments in the space of Wildlife, Nature, and Climate Change to better communities and create sustainable spaces for future generations. It is not just a one-time conference but a coming-together and sustainable continued effort by a wealth management firm that aims to bring awareness and action to protect our planet.

The Sinhasi Social Impact Initiative Conference 1
Social Investments for Wildlife, Nature and Climate Change was held on August 2nd, 2023, at the prestigious Satish Dhawan Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (Bangalore). This conference was inspired by the late M A Partha Sarathy, father of Ms. Mimi Partha Sarathy, a pioneer, and a global legend, visionary and game–changer in the space of wildlife, nature, and environmental conservation. The conference received an overwhelming response.

By leveraging Ms. Mimi’s extensive expertise, and credible connections over decades in the space of nature and conservation, Sinhasi seeks to bridge the gap between capital requirements, commitment, and resources to tackle critical environmental challenges leading to climate change to ensure a thriving planet for future generations. The conference had International and Indian wildlife conservation stalwarts, representatives of Indigenous communities, ecologists, biologists, herpetologists, academicians, and government officials attending the conference. All speaker sessions were moderated and curated by Ms. Mimi Partha Sarathy.
CSR in India plays a very important role. “Giving Back and Paying Forward” is engrained in our ethos, our culture and is part of the DNA of every Indian, be it individuals or corporates. Giving Back is possible in many ways both tangible and intangible and one of the aims of this conference was to sensitize as many people as possible we can to the importance of protecting, enriching and nurturing Wildlife & Nature to prevent the ill effects of climate change.
We are the fifth largest economy because CSR has given importance to Education, Health Care, Rural Infrastructure and Women Empowerment. And these areas should always be important. And in the next few years, we are expected to be the third largest economy in the world. The question is . Can we also become sensitive and give back to Wildlife, Nature, and Climate Change as this is a critical issue each one of us face today?

” Having been a wealth manager for almost 25 years, I have realized how instrumental it is to ensure the right flow of support, financial and otherwise, to the researchers and activists dedicated to working in the space of nature conservation and climate change. Every part of the world is suffering due to environmental degradation and we as humans are solely responsible for it. If we are the creators of the problem, well it is time for us to stop, take notice and provide solutions to ensure a better earth for ourselves and future generations. “
Mimi Partha Sarathy
Founder and Managing Director, Sinhasi Consultants Pvt. Ltd.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
The Sinhasi Social Impact Initiative – Conference-1 began by emphasizing the pivotal role in holistic financial and life plans. It paid tribute to a conservation pioneer, emphasizing the pressing need for individuals and corporates to integrate nature conservation with climate change awareness in their social responsibility agenda. The event urged the marriage of traditional wisdom with modern science for sustainable wildlife conservation.
Experts highlighted the importance of grassroots engagement and genuine collaboration with local communities, particularly in the context of elephant conservation. There was a call to reevaluate elephant captivity practices, shifting towards more humane models.
